The Tesla Cybertruck is undoubtedly a very particular pickup, not only for the fact that it has a 100% electric propulsion system. According to a recent patent filed, the new Cybertruck may have a feature that is very useful to several people: the folding rear seats .

The handle on the top of the rear seats seems to confirm that the latter will be foldable and its position seems to indicate a 60/40 configuration . A vehicle like the Tesla Cybertruck could greatly benefit from adding a loop as it would allow larger items to be stowed in the back and create more storage space.

The idea was already considered in the past by Elon Musk

Additionally, CEO Elon Musk has previously considered adding similar functionality. This new feature, together with the fold-down center seat in the front row, could allow the new Cybertrucker to offer more practicality than initially announced.

We know that the production of the US manufacturer's electric pickup has been postponed to 2022. A recent prototype captured on video revealed a number of changes compared to the concept presented a couple of years ago.

Examples are the new headlights positioned just above the bumpers and under a particular light bar, slightly revised side skirts, traditional and non-digital door mirrors and more.
